Madison County is proud to showcase its creative culture with the new Mural Trail! It features over 40 colorful artworks placed across four communities – Anderson, Elwood, Pendleton and Alexandria. Each mural was envisioned by artists who celebrate the local community with big creativity. Map your own self-guided tour to visit each mural and share a selfie inspired by Madison County’s unique artistic flair!

Collaboration with SPARK Festival, Main Street Organization, Amy McCurry. Depiction of little girl point to a historical city crest that has been on the wall for 40+ years. It’s an interesting conversation between old and new.

Collaboration with SPARK Festival, Main Street Organization, Amy McCurry. A “not so special” train conductor looking out his window to what lies ahead. This design is a nod to the Interurban Rail Road that came through town as well as a nod to looking forward to the future of Alexandria.

Collaboration with SPARK Festival, Main Street Organization, Amy McCurry. Two native barn owls finding their SPARK. A nice nod to the festival name as well as the spark of interest, creativity, and joy the artist wanted to bring to life in community.
