Summer Concert Series: Toy Factory  

Date: October 8th  

Time: 7:30PM 

Location: Dickmann Town Center 

Bring your lawn chairs and sit around the stage at Dickmann Town Center for the last concert of the Summer Concert Series put on by Mayor Broderick and Anderson Parks and Recreation! Relax and enjoy the music and some Cajun cuisine from the Big Easy Food Truck!

It’s time for the Raven alumni to return to campus for this year’s homecoming celebration! Join in with old favorites like the luminaries, Cheap Thrills, Encore, the street fair, athletic games, and more! We can’t wait to have everyone back home.

Mounds State Park

Hoots and Howls Weekend  

Date: October 22nd-23rd   

Location: Mounds State Park 

Mounds State Park has a packed schedule for the month of October, and the Hoots and Howls Weekend is just one part of it!  

Friday  

  • 6PM-9PM: “Not-so-scary” Luminary Night Hikes – Self-guided night hike along an illuminated trail. Bring a candy pail for trick or treating! 

Saturday 

  • 11AM-4PM: Historic Halloween – Visit the historic Bronnenberg Home lawn for games, crafts, and old Halloween traditions! 
  • 1PM: Costume Parade – Age categories include: pets, children 2 years old and younger, 3 to 8 years old, 10 to 13 years old, 14 years and up, and group/family.

The Oak Ridge Boys

Location: Paramount Theatre 

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of their hit “Elvira,” The Oak Ridge Boys are bringing their tour to the Paramount! Come out and see the country band that has won Grammy, Dove, CMA, and ACM awards!

“Watch up to 80 brave locals as they go ‘Over The Edge’ on October 23. Each edger will be rappelling down the side of a 10-story building in downtown Anderson. We invite you to attend the event to watch, enjoy live music and food, visit the museum for a special exhibition, and enjoy our fall family activities.”

Anderson Symphony Orchestra: A Family Halloween 

Date: October 30th 

Time: 7:30PM 

Location: Paramount Theatre 

Join the ASO for a fun Halloween-themed night of music, including “Ride of the Valkyries,” “Dense Macabre,” “Phantom,” and a medley from “Frozen.” Everyone encouraged to wear costumes.
