Marshall Charloff & The Purple Xperience

“Murdered to Death” 

Date: October 19th-21st 

Time: 7PM 

Location: Historic Elwood Opera House – Elwood, IN 

“This murder mystery/comedy has become a favorite stage show. Join us for ‘Murdered to Death’ at the Elwood Opera House, located at 202 South Anderson Street, on October 19, 20 and 21. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm.” 


Red Gold Run to Crush Hunger & Chili Cook-Off

Date: October 21st 

Time: Races – 9:30AM, Chili Cook-Off Booths Open – 9AM

Location: Downtown – Elwood, IN 

“Red Gold, America’s largest privately-owned premium tomato manufacturing company, is hosting their Annual Red Gold Run to Crush Hunger. The event will feature a 10K run as well as a 5K run/walk and 1-Mile family walk.

​Red Gold is passionate about helping local communities, and feels that with your support, together we will be able to affect the lives of those in need. All proceeds from the race will go to Second Harvest Food Bank and the Morrisett Center Food Pantry to help with the fight against hunger in central Indiana. 

As a participant, you’ll be providing roughly 120 meals to feed local families in need!” 


Next to Normal

Location: Anderson’s Mainstage Theatre – Anderson, IN 

Next to Normal, with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt, explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness. Breeders Crown

Date: October 27th-28th

Location: Harrah’s Hoosier Park – Anderson, IN 

“The Breeders Crown is an annual event that brings together the best of the best in the world of harness racing to compete in different age divisions based on sex and gate. Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino is honored to host the Breeders Crown.” 


Anderson Symphony Orchestra’s Halloween Concert

Date: October 28th  

Time: 7:30PM  

Location: Paramount Theatre – Anderson, IN 

“Concert number two of the season promises to be an evening of fun for the entire family!

As is our tradition, the orchestra and conductor will be dressed in their finest Halloween attire. All music will be animal-related, as ASO teams up with the Animal Protection League and the Anderson Humane Society for a program that will include a kids’ costume parade. Maestro Sowers’ Boston Terrier, Daisy, will make a cameo appearance.”
